APPG Blood Cancer
All Party Parliamentary Group on Blood Cancer
About the APPG
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Blood Cancer was established in July 2026 and provides a cross-party forum for parliamentarians to engage with Government, system leaders and the blood cancer community to advocate for practical, evidence-based solutions that seek to improve outcomes and quality of life for people affected by blood cancer.
The Blood Cancer Alliance (BCA), with support from agency partners M+F Health, provide Secretariat services for the APPG, including management of meetings, events, enquiries, and supporting the Chair’s office with delivery of the APPG’s work programme.
The APPG holds quarterly meetings on a range of topics affecting people living with blood cancer, with a current focus on improving care provided to people on active monitoring pathways, and reviewing progress made against the Government’s National Cancer Plan. Future work is anticipated to include an inquiry into the impact of inequalities in blood cancer care and outcomes.
Officers
Paul Davies MP, Chair of the APPG: “I am delighted to be chairing the new All-Party Parliamentary Group on Blood Cancer at such an important time. This APPG provides a vital platform for parliamentarians to work collaboratively with Government, colleagues across both Houses, health system leaders and experts from across the blood cancer community.
Together, we have an opportunity to identify practical, evidence-based ways to improve diagnosis, treatment and care for people affected by blood cancer, while supporting delivery of the ambitions set out in the National Cancer Plan.
